Cheesy Gift

Since my brother and I are deep-cleaning the whole apartment and going through Mom’s things to figure out what to donate, keep, or throw away, I decided to look through my own junk to see what I could part with.

I came across this little wallet tucked in a box in the back corner of my closet. I smiled when I saw it. Hella cheesy, but such a sweet reminder that she is still with me in spirit.

The wallet had been a Christmas stocking stuffer a few years ago, but at the time, I immediately discarded it because I wasn’t a fan of gifts like that. All I wanted back then were my chocolates and the presents I had specifically asked for.

Now that she is gone, I am going to cherish this gift forever. I will read it whenever I feel alone or miss her, to remind myself that she is always supporting and guiding me, wherever she is. I miss her so much.
